Department of Labor Grant

Department of Labor

YouthBuild Columbus Community School is the proud recipient of the YouthBuild Department of Labor Grant in which they were awarded $1.1 million in 2018 and $1.5 million in 2020 and 2022. Students in construction and healthcare career tech fields are eligible for a stipend that rewards their progress in academic and career tech education classes. DOL funding also helps provide leadership training, and sponsors student participation in community service, along with students' career training. Originally awarded to YouthBuild's GED program in 1996, YouthBuild Columbus Community School received the grant and opened its doors as a high school diploma program in 2000.
